Vege2Go Italian Vegetarian Café and Takeaway in Brunswick is perfect if you're looking for a quick bite in a clean and relaxed environment, or some yummy vegan take away when you're on your way home from work. Family owned, the food has a Mediterranean flavour.

Most of the dishes are vegan friendly and some of the beverages (such as tea and juices) are organic. With a range of cooked foods, fresh salads, snacks and desserts as well as a selection of drinks, you're sure to find something to please at breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Around breakfast time, there's a variety of vegan toasts, mueslis and soy smoothies. For lunch and dinner you can choose from salads, like a rocket explosion salad, or the celery bean salad which is fresh and tasty. There are lentil and minestrone soups, all vegan, as well as vegan focaccias and pastry triangles (including a tasty spinach, pumpkin and tofu triangle). Hot options include a vegan lasagne, vegan eggplant parmiggiana, butternut pumpkin and leek risotto, stuffed capsicums and a vegetable polenta bake which is hearty on a cold day.

Desserts consist of a great range of vegan cakes and a particularly nice vegan chocolate tiramisu. Vege2go promotes an environmentally friendly message, using water conservation methods and encouraging you to bring your own containers or recycled vege2go containers when buying takeaway to cut down on waste.
